API3 has been pointing dAPIs with NO ACTIVE subscriptions to self-funded Nodary feeds.
This will change on March 31. 🗓️
If you're utilizing a DapiProxy contract, please read on, as these changes may impact you.
Is my dApp impacted by this❓
1. Check your dAPI subscription. Visit http://market.api3.org, find the dAPI(s) you read through DapiProxy, and select your chain.
If your dAPI displays a "Self-funded" label, you must take action.
(Note: LST and LRT feeds will automatically be converted to managed and no change is needed) How can I resolve this❓
1. Buy a subscription for that data feed and continue renewing it for the duration of your usage. 2. Continue reading the same self-funded Nodary feed, but through a DataFeedProxy contract, as instructed by http://nodary.io/feeds.
Reminder of Best Practices:
❌ Do not read data feeds directly from the Api3ServerV1 contract. ✅ Read from the appropriate proxy contract. ✅ Implement a mechanism to be able to switch the proxy contract that you read a data feed from as necessary. ❌ Do not trust anyone to renew your subscriptions or fund your self-funded feeds on your behalf.
