Get to know Richard Teng, the new CEO of Binance from Singapore

Changpeng Zhao, officially resigned as CEO of Binance following the legal case against him. In his post on X, Zhao introduced the new CEO of Binance, Richard Teng.

According to Zhao, Teng is a highly qualified leader and will ensure Binance realizes its next phase of security, transparency, compliance and growth.

Richard Teng joined Binance in 2021, this man from Singapore served as CEO of Binance Singapore from August to December 2021.

Within five months in that position, he received a promotion to regional head of Binance for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for the 2021-2022 period.

After 11 months of carrying out this task, his responsibilities increased by managing the European region from 2022 to 2023, in the end he held responsibility for Binance in all regions except the US, before officially becoming CEO of Binance in November 2023.
