The Dream of Cryptocurrency: The Ups and Downs of Investors

In 2017, I was introduced to the world of virtual currency by a friend. At that time, the price of Bitcoin had just exceeded the $10,000 mark. I felt the huge potential of this emerging market, so I decided to enter the market.

At the end of 2017, my first investment was when the price of Bitcoin was about $15,000. As the price of Bitcoin soared, my investment quickly doubled and I felt incredibly excited and confident. I began to expand my investment scope to other virtual currencies, such as Ethereum, Litecoin, etc. During the bull market in the first half of 2018, my assets further grew and reached millions of RMB.

However, the good times did not last long. In the second half of 2018, the virtual currency market suffered a serious adjustment, with prices falling all the way. Bitcoin fell from more than 20,000 US dollars to less than 10,000 US dollars, and other currencies such as Ethereum and Litecoin were also hit hard. My investment account lost most of its value overnight, and I lost almost all the money I once made.

During this difficult period, I fell into despair and hesitation. However, I didn't give up. Believing in the potential of the virtual currency market, I began to re-examine the market and decided to rejoin the market in early 2019.

This time, however, I learned a lot of lessons. I no longer blindly pursue short-term profits, but choose investment targets more carefully and adopt a diversified investment strategy. I chose to enter the market again when the price of Bitcoin bottomed out and was around $6,000. This time I was more cautious. I began to gradually build a position while paying attention to market trends and flexibly adjusting my investment strategy.

As time went by, my persistence paid off. In 2021, the virtual currency market once again ushered in a surge. The price of Bitcoin once exceeded $60,000, and other mainstream virtual currencies have also risen. My investment account skyrocketed again, and my wealth returned to tens of millions of yuan.

This time, I didn't forget the lesson. While I was making profits in the market, I also conducted risk control in a timely manner to protect my investment returns. I converted part of my profits into sound investments while continuing to pay attention to market trends and be prepared to deal with possible risks at any time.

In 2024, when I look back on my virtual currency investment journey, I feel deeply: Investing in virtual currency is a journey full of risks and challenges, but as long as you have confidence, patience and the right investment strategy, you can get started. Find the other side of wealth in the fall.
