Have you ever heard of Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Dogecoin? If so, do you think they are "virtual" things?

Virtual money, also known as cryptocurrency, has been a hot topic in recent years, with heavy appearances on TV and social networks. Why cryptocurrency attracts attention, I think it can come from the following reasons:

  1. Technology and finance people research new technologies

  2. Individual investors have many times more profit potential than traditional assets such as stocks, real estate, etc.

  3. And a very large number come from "anti" and a bad first impression of an investment channel full of risks, fluctuations and full of fraud and loss of money.

My siblings and real friends are in group 1, many strangers are in group 2, and my relatives and parents are in group 3. As for the 4th group, I will mention it at the end of the article.

And now let's start our main content.

What is virtual currency?

Simply put, virtual currency is a digital currency created and stored in encrypted form (by code). They are not issued by any government or bank, but are managed by a blockchain distributed system.

đŸ”„ Ohh my head hurts, what kind of newbie gives me new vocabulary like this? But don't worry! We will learn more in series specializing in Tech (technology). Let's ignore these terms for now!

I think cryptocurrency has some of the following characteristics:

[About technology] Decentralization: Not under the control of any organization, bringing freedom and security to users. This makes a (very, very big) difference for BTC to become a game-changer.

[About investment] Fluctuating value: The value of virtual currency can increase or decrease sharply in a short period of time, posing high risks for investors. In particular, this market is full of manipulation (due to not being recognized by law) and fraud.

[Value] Applicability: The use of virtual currency in online payments is still limited, but is gradually expanding. We are in the early stages of testing, so there is no need to rush, when it has been mass adapted (widely applied), we will know!

Call to action (basically a call to action :D)

At the end of the article, I should also mention the 4th group, right? These are people who know nothing about blockchain and cryptocurrency. As for myself, I will not leave my relatives and friends out of the future, they should know about this information!

I will not be indifferent to future technologies like AI or crypto, which will become obsolete and worthless in just half a decade.

Virtual currency is not completely "virtual". They are a new technology with huge potential, but also come with many risks. Investing or using virtual currency needs to be carefully considered.
