Asset management giant Franklin Templeton has registered the Franklin Templeton Blockchain Fund II with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), designating the vehicle as a private equity fund.

The vehicle has a minimum investment of $100,000 for investors and will be open for no more than 12 months. The exact details of its strategy and funding goals remain confidential. It is reported that Franklin Templeton, which manages approximately $1.4 trillion in assets, is also involved in other crypto-related products, including money market funds utilizing the Stellar blockchain technology stack.
