This could be a tough live change!!!
In short, @dizzyhavoc - the creator of the token made possible what all the ether developers have been struggling with so far. Reduced the cost of deploying an ERC-20 contract to $3
Now it costs 400$
If completely:
Spoiler alert: it could potentially revolutionize Ethereum
Below is a selection of posts and TGs from Dev that summarizes what we know so far, including: 1) roadmap 2) (known) innovations 3) why you should emulate 4) teasers of what else is in store !
1) Roadmap Here is an early description of planned projects from the developers: - Cross-chain bridge - tokenomic games and features - cross-chain decentralized exchange - market forecasting platform - anything else that might be interesting - optimization of the build of all of the above
A quick note on timelines regarding the roadmap: Eta for Bridge is 1-4 weeks, and for a full dapp is 2-6 months, but this is on a full-time basis, which may end soon (see figure). also SO to all the developers, he is very open for cooperation!!!
2) An innovation roadmap sounds cool and all, but what makes it revolutionary? Well, (at least) two things this new token standard: a. built-in assembly (super efficient) b. updatable18473
A. dev has been optimizing ERC in assembly for 3 years. To the point where the real inventor of 404 @SerecThunderson praises his code
and also cheap to interact with them! Returning to the roadmap, this also means extremely low bridging fees and a fully decentralized (no staking, validators, multisig) cross-chain DEX.
b. updated Now here's where it gets interesting. Imagine being able to update your contract across all chains while keeping the same address (no V2), quickly and at low cost. I don't think we fully understand the implications of this yet.
3) why should you be a monkey? “cool technology and all that, but how will it make me money?” well, in addition to being able to monetize the new token standard using a deployer
Dev also has some very unusual ideas in the field of tokenomics and game theory. Couldn't find any other TG posts, but this X post reflects some of them.
And don't believe me, talk to any knowledgeable developer and they will see the great potential of this. ETH validators are even gaining popularity
4) what else are you cooking? Well, the developers clearly have more in mind than just all of this. I welcome any curveballs explaining the meaning of all this

conclusion. Dev is mega-based. has been years in the making and will continue to push the boundaries of what we thought was possible on Ethereum. Read the history of the TG and GitHub developers and you'll see that this thread is the tip of the iceberg of what's to come.
