The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation has prepared standards for regulating cryptocurrencies, including criminal liability 🙄
“Digital currency, cryptocurrency, has not yet been regulated in our country. Liability measures, including criminal liability, for illegal transactions with cryptocurrency have been practically prepared,” explained State Duma deputy Aksakov.
Allowed:
▪️ Buy cryptocurrency on foreign exchanges.
▪️ Sell mined cryptocurrency outside the country.
▪️Declare income from investments, trading and mining of cryptocurrencies with subsequent payment of taxes.
Forbidden:
▫️ Use cryptocurrency to pay for goods and services.
▫️ Sell mined cryptocurrency within the country.
▫️ Avoid reporting on cryptocurrency transactions.
▫️ Organize illegal crypto exchanges.
For violation of these rules, fines of 20 thousand rubles are provided. up to 1 million rubles, and the last two points imply criminal liability from 4 to 7 years.
