According to Bloomberg, Chris Dixon, founder of Andreessen Horowitz, said that the crypto industry is ushering in a new beginning. In an interview with Bloomberg TV, he said that the company continues to deploy capital in the digital asset industry through tokens and equity investments, is willing to support new founders, and continue to lobby for crypto in Washington before the 2024 presidential election. While discussing his new book, Read Write Own: Building the Next Era of the Internet, he said that blockchain technology can serve as a balancing force against the dominance of technology giants on the Internet and the growing use of artificial intelligence. He pointed out that blockchain can help creators obtain ownership and provenance of content, including proving that a video is real and not generated by AI. Andreessen Horowitz raised a record $4.5 billion crypto fund in 2022, but the company was still one of the top dealmakers among industry venture investors last year.
