Investigation revealed that the man worked at an AT&T mobile phone dealer and hacked into other people's phones by exchanging SIM cards, accessed other people's encrypted accounts, and transferred assets to his own wallet. Trujillo was sentenced to 33 months in prison, suspended for three years, and ordered to pay $288,000 in restitution. His accomplice was sentenced to two months in prison, five years of probation, and a similar fine.
