berachain is a DeFi-based EVM-compatible L1 built on the Cosmos SDK and powered by Proof of Liquidity Consensus.

Currently, it has completed US$42 million in financing, with participation from Polychain Capital, OKX Ventures, Hack VC, etc.

Now that the testnet is online, it is worth doing, with zero cost. Let’s start the tutorial:

1. Add a network. First we need to add a network. For this point, go directly to the official documentation and add it with one click.

2. Receive test token BERA

Open the website, enter the wallet address, complete the verification, and click drip tokens

3.Galaxy Mission 1

Let me start with the Galaxy mission. The first mission of Galaxy is a daily mission. You can receive 5 points every day, so if you have a sign-in project, you can do this by the way. It is a simple mission.

4.Galaxy Mission 2

The other tasks in the Galaxy are very simple tasks. It is worth noting that there are three on-chain tasks.

The first task is to collect the test token BERA. We completed this in the second step, so we can directly verify it.

I will explain the next two other steps in steps 5 and 6 respectively.

5. Galaxy Mission 2 (Swap $BERA for $STGUSDC on BEX)

This step requires us to exchange bera for stgusdc, open the website, connect to the wallet, use bera to exchange for stgusdc, click preview, confirm the wallet, and return to Galaxy Verification

6. Galaxy Mission 2 (Mint $HONEY)

In this step, we need to mint $HONEY, open the website, connect to the wallet, use stgusdc to change to honey, approve it, then redeem it, return to Galaxy for verification, and the task of Galaxy 2 is completed here.

7.BEX

We have used this dapp before, we used it for swap, but in addition, this dapp can also add liquidity.

Add liquidity: Click on the pool above, you can choose a pool to add, but I recommend choosing a pool with BGT rewards to add. BGT is the governance token of Berachain (see the picture for the operation position)

8.Honey

We interacted with this dapp in step 6, and there is nothing much to talk about.

9.Bend

For this dapp, we need to swap some WBTC or WETH on BEX first.

Deposit: Open the website, connect to the wallet, find WETH or WBTC and click supply at the back. The wallet approves, click supply, and confirm in the wallet.

Lending Honey: Click borrow next to Honey, enter the amount, click borrow, and the wallet confirms

10.Berps

This dapp requires us to perform contract operations. The token used is Honey. A minimum of 10 Honey is required each time to open long or short positions.

Open the website, connect to the wallet, enter the amount, the wallet approves, and then place an order.

11.BGT Station

This requires entrusting your BGT to vote. BGT needs to add liquidity. To obtain BGT, please refer to step 8.

Then open the website, connect to the wallet, click Delegate in the upper left corner, then click Select validator, select a delegator, then click Confirm, and the wallet will confirm.
