The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is increasing its staff and capacity to review, investigate, audit, examine and potentially prosecute securities law violations related to these new crypto products and trading activities.

It is reported that the new staff will include regulators, investigators attorneys, fraud analysts and trial lawyers, focusing on investigating violations of securities laws in the following areas: crypto asset issuance, trading, and lending and staking products; DeFi platforms; NFTs and stablecoins currency.
