DFINITY and FEDERITALY, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting Italian businesses worldwide, have collaborated to develop a FEDERITALY Dapp to enhance the services provided by FEDERITALY.
FEDERITALY works with more than 7,000 companies, associations, foundations, cooperatives and professionals of all sizes and verticals. The international organization is present in all Italian regions and has offices in 20 countries around the world. Companies registered with FEDERITALY can now benefit from the speed, security and transparency of the Internet Computer blockchain through the FEDERITALY Dapp.

The FEDERITALY Dapp will allow producers to apply for the “FEDERITALY 100% Made in Italy” label - producers can only obtain this label after undergoing an extensive audit by the FEDERITALY. Once the audit is completed and the label is awarded to the producer, a certificate will be created on the Internet Computer Blockchain and the product will have a QR code corresponding to this certificate.
Consumers can then scan the QR code on the product and retrieve a certificate from the internet computer blockchain that includes information about the product, its producer, the manufacturing process, material details and the certification process.

The benefits of FEDERITALY implementing the Internet Computer blockchain in its verification services means that it removes the need for consumers to trust any third party and improves transparency. Consumers no longer need to rely on services running on centralized cloud services that often experience downtime.

Speed and scale
