What is it, and is it a good time to invest? Before anything, you need to understand what Bitcoin mining is. Miners use powerful computers to solve complex mathematical problems to verify transactions and earn newly created bitcoins as a reward. The first miner to solve a problem gets to add a new block of transactions to the blockchain. The concept of "crypto halving" refers to a scheduled event where the reward for mining new blocks is halved, meaning miners receive 50% fewer coins. This event typically occurs every four years and aims to control the supply of new coins, mimicking the scarcity of precious metals like gold. For example, the Bitcoin halving event is expected to occur on April 20th, 2024, when the mining reward will decrease from 6.25 to 3.125 bitcoins per block. The halving can affect the price of the cryptocurrency; since the reward is reduced, if demand remains the same, the reduced supply can lead to a price increase. In the years 2020, 2016, and 2012, Bitcoin halving preceded an increase in the price of Bitcoin in the following year. However, this is not a guarantee for the upcoming halving, as many factors influence price. But as with any investment, it's important to do your due diligence before deciding to invest.

Worldcoin current circulating supply is 118million wld, this is just 1% of it's total supply which is 10billion wld. This amount of circulating supply is very low and wld price can be easier manipulated for example on the 15th December 2023 Sam Altman was successful in raising $115 million in a Series C funding round which was added as liquidity for wld and the price of wld rose from $2.3 to it's all time high of $4.7 in just one week. Worldcoin main problem is that it doesn't have proof of stake mechanism whereby miners would be required to purchase wld and stake it in order to receive more wld as rewards instead, 7.5 billion wld will be issued out to the community all for free. The only good thing about worldcoin is that it keeps on adding liquidity which pumps the price of wld but it should be noted that with more coins been released the harder it gets to pump the price for example it the circulating supply of wld was 1billion when the 115million liquidity was added, the change in it price would be so small that most people would not have even noticed.
