According to Odaily Planet Daily, Trump's first Treasury Secretary Mnuchin said he would not join Trump's new administration, but was willing to provide advice, including strengthening sanctions on Iran and Russia and controlling the growth of US debt.
Mnuchin stressed that the U.S. Treasury Department needs to work hard to strengthen trade policies. He did not reveal the popular candidate for Treasury Secretary. Trump previously said that former Secretary of State Pompeo would not join the cabinet, and foreign media had different opinions on whether former Trade Representative Lighthizer would continue to serve.
