According to Odaily Planet Daily, two people familiar with the matter revealed that AI startup Anysphere has received an investment offer from a venture capital firm with a valuation of approximately US$2.5 billion, more than six times higher than its valuation four months ago.
The company developed Cursor, an AI coding assistant powered in part by OpenAI technology. Meanwhile, Mercor, a human resources provider that OpenAI and other AI developers use to find contractors, is in talks with investors to raise at least $100 million at a valuation of up to $2 billion, an eightfold increase from six months ago.
