According to ChainCatcher, BBH analysts said that the minutes of the Federal Reserve meeting to be released tonight may show that some officials opposed a 50 basis point rate cut.

At the Sept. 18 meeting to kick off monetary easing, Fed Governor Bowman was the lone dissenter, voting in favor of a 25 basis point rate cut.

The Federal Reserve has since signaled another 25 basis point rate cut next month, a prospect that has provided some support to the dollar.
