According to Odaily, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has emphasized that the governance reforms during the Voltaire era have prevented the blockchain from becoming a 'dictatorship' like Ethereum or falling into 'anarchy' like Bitcoin. In an interview in Singapore, Hoskinson criticized Ethereum's current governance model, claiming it relies too heavily on its co-founder Vitalik Buterin for direction. Hoskinson explained that blockchains have the option to keep their protocols simple, like Bitcoin, or 'pick a king' to manage affairs. However, Cardano's new governance model addresses the 'governance trilemma' of efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity by delegating representatives and utilizing a membership-based organization called Intersect to distill complex governance topics for voting. When asked to elaborate on his controversial statement linking Ethereum to dictatorship, Hoskinson stated that Ethereum's 'entire vision' began with Buterin and will also end with him.
