According to Cointelegraph, TON Foundation announced a partnership with Singapore’s taxi app Tada, allowing users to pay for rides with cryptocurrency.

Tada launched the Telegram Mini App, which allows users to book taxi services in Singapore and complete payments using TON.

Founded in 2018, Tada operates in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, with plans to expand to Hong Kong in 2024.

Users can pay for rides using TON tokens or USDT. Tether launched USDT on TON on April 19.

Harvey Kim, head of TON Foundation Korea, said the two companies will provide 4,000 free and discounted rides during the Token2049 conference in Singapore.

Kim stressed that the move accelerates the adoption of Web3 solutions that combine elements of ride-hailing, social media, and crypto payments.
