Former President Donald Trump said that if he is re-elected, he will fire U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler on his first day in office, PANews reported.
However, experts pointed out that this action is not easy to achieve. The president cannot directly fire the SEC chairman because the SEC is an independent agency and the appointment and removal of the chairman requires complex legal procedures.
