According to Foresight News, EU regulators have issued guidance on the classification of crypto assets under MiCA, providing new tests and guidance to help determine whether tokens qualify as standard crypto assets or are classified as electronic money tokens (EMTs) or asset reference tokens (ARTs).
An online public hearing on the classification guidelines will be held on September 23, and the public consultation deadline is October 12.
