According to Wu, Berachain co-founder Smokey The Bera questioned Cosmos' understanding of Cosmos. He believed that Cosmos did not understand GTM (Go-To-Market) at all, and said that Bera v2 was more like ETH than Cosmos, and believed that Cosmos needed a new community or rebranding. He also said that Berachain would not be labeled as Cosmos Chain, which caused dissatisfaction among some members of the Cosmos community. Smokey The Bera responded that although Berachain is using the Cosmos SDK, it does not mean that it must be called Cosmos Chain. He believes that being called Cosmos Chain has harmed them in terms of developer adoption, brand awareness and overall image. He also said that Cosmos as a whole will benefit most by helping to implement good technology behind the scenes rather than being the protagonist.
