According to PANews, venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) plans to invest $30 million in multiple gaming startups. a16z general partner Andrew Chen said that US$30 million will be invested through the a16z Speedrun program in the next 45 days, and each startup that joins the Speedrun program will receive US$750,000. The application deadline for Speedrun is May 19th. The company's gaming fund, launched in 2022, invests in the development of various gaming-related technologies, including Web3. Additionally, a16z has made several investments in blockchain gaming companies through its crypto arm, including Mythical Games and Voldex, among others.
