As reported by CryptoPotato, Bitcoin attempted to rise again over the past 24 hours but encountered resistance and has since fallen by nearly $1,000 to below $52,000. Most other cryptocurrencies, such as SOL, AVAX, LINK, and MATIC, also saw a pullback today, falling by about 3-4%. Bitcoin's market capitalization is still above $1 trillion, and its dominance in the cryptocurrency market has declined recently, now down to 49.2%. Ethereum has been at the forefront of the recent cryptocurrency rally, jumping above $2,900 yesterday to a 21-month high. However, the digital asset has now fallen by about 1% to below the line. Assets such as Solana, Cardano, Avalanche, Chainlink, Polygon, and ICP have fallen between 2-4%. Filecoin is one of the few exceptions, rising 15% in the past day and now trading at $7.5. Arweave has also risen by double digits (13%) and is close to $15. However, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization fell by $20 billion overnight to $2.06 trillion.
