According to the Daily Planet, mining company Cleanspark announced that it will acquire three Bitcoin mining farms for $19.8 million to expand its business to Mississippi. Cleanspark said the acquisition is expected to be completed within 21 days, and these Mississippi data centers will add about 2.4 EH/s of computing power to it. In addition, Cleanspark acquired a mine under construction in Dalton, Georgia. The transaction involves an initial cash payment of $3.4 million and plans to invest an additional $3.5 million. The mine is expected to be operational in April 2024. Cleanspark expects that its goal is to exceed 20 EH/s computing power by the first half of 2024.
