According to Foresight News, Arweave founder Sam cited a reliable source as saying that Arweave's ecological storage solution Irys (formerly Bundlr Network) plans to fork Arweave, no longer maintain data sets, reset token supply, and ignore the protocol evolution mechanism. The ar.io network will remove Irys bundlers from the trusted settings of the Arweave main gateway, resulting in severe delays before user data is available. Sam believes that forks need to be carried out by saving and building states, rather than destroying states, otherwise information permanence cannot be achieved. He believes that the reason for Irys's fork may be greed. Currently, with the support of the ar.io network, Forward Research is running a free Arweave bundler service, which will continue to be provided after users migrate. Users can replace the Irys node URL in the code with https://up.arweave.net to use the free Arweave bundler service.
