According to Foresight News, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announced that the virtual asset trading platform 'JPEX' is operating without a license. Following the announcement, there were reports online that JPEX users were unable to withdraw funds for up to 8 hours. Some users also claimed that JPEX had limited withdrawal amounts to a maximum of 1,000 USDT (Tether) stablecoins, with a withdrawal fee of 999 USDT, effectively allowing users to withdraw only 1 US dollar. In response to inquiries, the Hong Kong SFC stated that it would refer the matter to the police for further investigation.
