According to Foresight News, edtech startup Kinjo has raised $6.5 million in a seed funding round led by LiveOak Venture Partners, with participation from Silverton Partners, Breyer Capital, and Roble Capital. Kinjo connects to the metaverse platform Roblox, allowing children to earn virtual currency called Robux through playing, learning, and gaming, and scores them based on their learning outcomes. The company plans to expand its educational value scoring system to other games such as Fortnite and Minecraft in the future.
