According to Cointelegraph, on August 29, Google Cloud announced a partnership with the government of El Salvador to set up an office in the country and provide Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) services.
The partnership aims to digitize El Salvador, update government services, and improve health and education systems. GDC will also help place infrastructure closer to where data is generated in El Salvador.
Additionally, the GDC infrastructure will support El Salvador’s active adoption and integration of Bitcoin (BTC) into society.
