ETH is currently trading at approximately $3,134, reflecting a 2.26% decrease in the last 24 hours. During this period, the token's price fluctuated between $3,206 and $3,050. This indicates that some investors may have acquired ETH at lower price levels before the recent upswing.

Ethereum's price trend remains negative, even though the overall price has increased in the short term. In the past week, ETH is down 5.47%. This extended decline shows that ETH has not fully rebounded from its last high above $4,000.

Market Capitalization and Trading Volume Decline

Following these price movements, Ethereum’s market capitalization now stands at approximately $378.12 billion. Additionally, ETH’s 24-hour trading volume has dropped by 40.86%, bringing it down to around $20.02 billion. These declines indicate a cautious trading environment despite the increased whale accumulation.

Institutional Investment in Ethereum Grows

While individual investors continue accumulating ETH, institutions are also expanding their holdings. World Liberty Financial (WLFI), an investment firm linked to Donald Trump’s family, recently invested $10 million in Ethereum. On-chain data from Spotonchain indicates that this capital influx enabled the firm to purchase 3,247 ETH at a lower market price.

Over the past seven days, WLFI has invested $129.95 million to acquire 39,242 ETH at an average price of $3,312. Despite the acquisition, the firm has seen a 3.94% decline in value, amounting to a $5.12 million loss.

Ethereum Holdings Increase Across Assets

Santiment data reveals that WLFI now holds 59,269 ETH, reflecting a 3,921% increase since pre-inauguration. The firm’s Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) holdings have also risen by 3,570%, reaching 647 WBTC. Furthermore, its Staked Ethereum (STETH) reserves have increased by 309%, now standing at 19,399 coins.
