Poland on Track for Fifth Place in Global Bitcoin ATM Ranking
Poland added 10 new Bitcoin ATMs on Jan. 27, bringing the total to 219 active machines. This move makes it the fifth-largest Bitcoin ATM network globally, behind the United States, Canada, Australia, and Spain, and surpasses El Salvador.
Poland has installed 24 new crypto ATMs in a four-month deployment process that began in October 2024. Countries like Canada, Spain, and Australia are also seeing an increase in the number of active local Bitcoin ATMs each month, according to Bitcoin ATM Radar data.
While the US and Canada lead the global network with thousands of active Bitcoin ATMs, El Salvador installed 215 ATMs in October 2022 to encourage Bitcoin adoption. However, El Salvador has not taken any steps to increase this capacity, which is a difference when compared to major economies.
Meanwhile, Poland continued to grow, installing 12 new ATMs in January alone, with more installations expected by the end of the month.
