ChainCatcher reported that according to Jinshi, the data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that the number of new non-agricultural jobs in October was revised up from 36,000 to 43,000; the number of new non-agricultural jobs in November was revised down from 227,000 to 212,000. After the revision, the total number of new jobs in October and November was 8,000 lower than before the revision.

In 2024, employment increased by 2.2 million (186,000 per month), down from an increase of 3 million (251,000 per month) in 2023. The unemployment rate was little changed at 4.1% in December. After rising earlier in 2024, the unemployment rate has been between 4.1% and 4.2% for the past seven months. The number of unemployed people was little changed in December at 6.9 million.
