What is the difference between the US Bitcoin ETF and the Canadian one? To be honest, it's quite interesting.
Canada has already completed the Bitcoin ETF as early as 2022, and now has an asset management scale of about 2 billion US dollars.
The US side just approved it in January this year, but it has attracted a lot of attention. In the first week of opening, it achieved a transaction volume of up to 4.1 billion US dollars. This number is really fierce!
But when it comes to operating costs, Canadian ETFs are actually much cheaper. The management fee of Purpose Bitcoin ETF is only 0.4%, while most funds in the United States are hovering around 0.9% (of course there are cheaper ones, such as Bitwise at only 0.2%).
The key is that Canada still allows investors to subscribe and redeem directly with cryptocurrencies, while the United States is more rigid and can only use US dollars.
However, the size of the US market is really too large, and now Wall Street bosses all want to get a piece of the pie. Super institutions like BlackRock have all gone out, and it feels that this wave of ETFs will make Bitcoin more acceptable to mainstream investors.
For ordinary people like us, the threshold for investing in Bitcoin is indeed getting lower and lower, but you have to look at the timing and risks.
A sharp drop is actually a good opportunity, because ETF is a big bull….$BTC
