Foresight News reports, according to Cryptonews, that the Russian Ministry of Finance will sell the Bitcoin assets seized in the Infraud case, with the first batch involving approximately $10 million in Bitcoin assets from former investigation committee investigator Marat Tambiev.
Marat Tambiev was sentenced to 16 years in prison in 2023 for accepting bribes from the Infraud hacking organization, with the case involving a total of 1032.1 BTC. However, because Marat Tambiev stored the Bitcoin in various locations, law enforcement needs to apply for court rulings separately for different wallets. Currently, the first batch of seized assets is stored in a Ledger Nano X hardware wallet. Additionally, the prosecution plans to liquidate his real estate in the Moscow region and a Honda motorcycle.
