Fed's Collins: 2025 rate cuts smaller than previously expected
According to ChainCatcher news, Boston Fed President Collins stated that, given the strong employment data and persistent inflation, he supports a smaller rate cut in 2025 than previously expected a few months ago. The outlook for interest rates is in line with the median of the projections released by officials after the last FOMC meeting, which anticipates two rate cuts this year, lower than the four cuts projected in September last year.
