Long-term investors continue to accumulate their holdings
As the price of Bitcoin has risen to above $100,000, there has been a “slight” increase in the number of coins held by investors who have been holding them for a long time, according to Axel Adler Jr., a cryptocurrency data scientist and author of CryptoQuant.
“This suggests that coins purchased by short-term investors less than 155 days earlier have been transferred to long-term holders,” he explained. “Typically, such transfers occur when there are significant price changes, and investors lock in profits by moving assets into longer-term positions.”
Analysts and experts suggest that the transfer of coins to long-term investors may be related to expectations of further growth in the price of Bitcoin.
