Strategic Investments from Whale: $16.8 Million Earnings and Meme Coin Purchases

Cryptocurrency analysis platform Lookonchain shared the recent successful investments of a whale that invested a large amount. This investor earned more than $16.8 million with investments in projects that are still in the early stages. In particular, his investments in projects such as $ai16z, $GRIFFAIN and $ZEREBRO attracted attention. The same platform also came to the agenda with another mysterious whale purchasing four different meme coins.

According to the shared data, this investor discovered the $ai16z token at the end of October 2024 and purchased 20.9 million $ai16z tokens by investing a total of $772,000. The investor, who currently holds 6 million $ai16z tokens, states that the value of these tokens has reached $11.04 million. This transaction provided the investor with a tremendous return of 16,564%. The investor also made great profits by entering projects such as $GRIFFAIN and $ZEREBRO, which are still undervalued in the market, at an early stage. The investor, who invested $125,000 in $GRIFFAIN, has now earned $3.32 million with 5 million $GRIFFAIN tokens. Similarly, he made a profit of $2.38 million with his $295,000 investment in $ZEREBRO.

Finally, the investor started investing in the $AVA token in the last week. The investor, who purchased a total of 2.17 million $AVA tokens, has made a profit of $120,000 so far. Lookonchain analysts emphasize that the investor's last $AVA purchase was made 9 hours ago.

Lookonchain also reported that an unidentified whale made major investments in some meme coins today. The whale purchased $7.25 million in $WIF ($13.34 million), $5.77 million in $POPCAT ($3.83 million), $4.57 million in $FWOG ($922,000), and $3.9 million in $michi ($467,000). However, the recent performance of meme coins has become a concern for investors.

Dogecoin (DOGE) has lost 10% of its value in the last 24 hours, in line with the general market decline following the release of US economic reports on Tuesday. While DOGE is one of the biggest losers by market cap, other major meme coins are doing worse. Solana-based dog coins Bonk (BONK) and Dogwifhat (WIF) are down about 11% at the time of writing. Similarly, AI16Z, the recently popular AI agent meme coin, is down 15% today.

Investors' interest in meme coins and the performance of these assets stand out as a topic that should be carefully monitored along with general market conditions.
