Many partners ask me how newcomers can make money. Is it possible to earn money just by working hard? Today, I want to talk about specific ways to earn money if you're new to Web3.

01

Practitioner

Many people might not know that I've always had a job in Web3, mainly focusing on user growth and social media operations.

If you want to work in Web3, excluding technical positions, the main options are in operations and marketing.

There are many subdivisions under these two categories. If you work at a large exchange, the roles will be very specific, similar to traditional large internet companies, and currently, it's basically 996. Some remote positions might even monitor your computer. If you work for a project team, the roles are not so specialized, and operations and business development often work together.

Speaking of salaries, I know partners in business development earn anywhere from ten thousand to over a hundred thousand RMB a month, while operational roles are not as flexible. Currently, the entry requirements are English proficiency and work experience; educational background is not very important. The future is uncertain, but the current trend is that educational qualifications are becoming more competitive.

02

KOL

Most people think KOLs are very profitable, receiving gifts from exchanges every month, traveling while happily accepting advertising offers, just waiting to collect money, casually earning millions in a year.

Such individuals exist; they are industry leaders, either very well-known or have strong 'sales' abilities. The team that worked on digital collectibles has mostly transitioned to Web3 in the past two years. It's not those who earn money by attracting traffic and taking ads, but rather those who earn thousands in commissions daily through contract trading or meme coin trading.

Recently, there have been many activities in exchanges. Many people in my circle are collecting four-digit fees to bring newcomers to projects. Some members in my group are also earning thousands a day this way. Where there's information asymmetry, there's space for paid knowledge. Not everyone needs to score 100 to teach others; someone with 20 can teach someone with 0, someone with 40 can teach someone with 20, and someone with 60 can teach someone with 40. There has always been demand that can be monetized.

One of my community members started earning commissions in December, promoting weex daily on social media and public platforms, building a community of a thousand people from zero followers, earning over a hundred dollars in commissions daily, and has gathered quite a few people in paid groups without a team, all accomplished by one person.

Some KOLs might be a bit weaker in bringing in trades, but they can gather people, which is also a way to make big money. They earn commissions by introducing projects to secondary exchanges, managing market capitalization, conducting large events, and other services.

Of course, some KOLs start their own projects, issue tokens, or create meme coins. If done well, they can relax for years; financial freedom is not impossible.

03

Retail Investor

I believe most people have real-world studies and jobs, treating the cryptocurrency space as a leisure pastime, wanting to earn some money from this field.

Retail investors can start discussing profits from both large and small funds. If you have extra money, you can hold onto promising cryptocurrencies for the long term, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. After a few years, most people will be profitable. If you have enough funds, you can also participate in mining or staking to receive newly issued tokens or rewards.

If you don't have much money to participate in project airdrops, look for opportunities in the primary market and on-chain, mint some high-potential NFTs, and persistently hunt for benefits.

For example, in the case of earning benefits, at the end of the year with VANA, completing three tasks earns you 43 coins, about 1200U. Some people created 84 accounts, totaling over 700,000 RMB.

The Movement order number is 150U, boutique numbers are in the thousands of U. Some people batch process and make over a million.

Finally, I firmly believe that Web3 is one of the best tracks for young people. Currently, a large group of founders in the field were born in 1996-1998 and entered the last bull market. The era of the post-2000s has not truly arrived yet; everything is just beginning.
