In the first week of 2025, the AI Agent track continues to soar, with the two major ecosystems ai16z and Virtual seeing their token market capitalizations break $2 billion and $5 billion, respectively, setting historical highs.
AI innovations continue to emerge. When people thought the 'factional struggle' of AI Agent infrastructure was settled and all AI agents needed to 'pay their respects' in these two major ecosystems, a dark horse—Swarms—emerged. In the past week, the Swarms token surged over 768%, with a market cap reaching as high as $440 million; currently, Swarms has over 2800 stars on GitHub.
Swarms is a multi-agent collaboration framework, with the core component being the 'framework' that provides functions such as long-term memory and task decomposition, helping multiple AI agents collaborate seamlessly within the same network to break down complex tasks. Currently, Swarms is also vigorously promoting the development of ecological projects, and as the multi-agent collaborative ecosystem enriches, the still nascent Swarms ecosystem may still harbor Alpha opportunities. Odaily Planet Daily will briefly introduce the Swarms ecological projects and the progress of Swarms itself.
Introduction to ecological projects
MCS
Market capitalization: $25 million
Number of holding addresses: 3889
Token contract: ALHFgnXSenUv17GMdf3dL9gtFW2KKQTz9avpM2Wypump
mcs was created by Swarms founder Kye Gomez and has linked the official mcs Twitter account in his profile, giving it official backing. mcs is a production-level multi-agent system built on Swarms for medical diagnosis and coding. Users can diagnose and analyze medical and healthcare-related issues for free by conversing with mcs. According to data disclosed by Kye Gomez, mcs had over 6000 daily active users in the past two days, and its API is about to be put into production for one of the largest healthcare providers in the US.
SPORES
Market capitalization: $9.4 million
Holding address: 5347
Token contract: H1koD28XAHg2vuGp7XggehBCR4zP6r6k6EQ3MR6j3kU2
spores is a token issued by Autonomous Spores, with 10% of the tokens transferred to the Swarms DAO. Autonomous Spores plans to develop four AI agents based on the Swarms framework:
The first agent is Saya, an AI agent fund manager built on Swarms Intelligence, which will manage a series of AI agent risk funds. It has refined its decision-making ability through a large amount of trading data in the trading system, and the first fund is about to be launched;
The second agent is Oozeborn, inspired by Clanker on Base, which simplifies the process for users to launch tokens and create AI agents on Twitter by commenting or tagging #Oozeborn in posts;
The third agent is Grassian, a data analysis AI agent built on the Swarms algorithm, primarily focused on identifying early Alpha bloggers on Twitter and scoring these individuals to provide insights into the ecosystem. Grassian is also an important source of information for Saya's trading decisions.
The fourth agent is Jaguarundi, a risk assessment AI agent that assesses risks in the trading system, providing safety for Saya, and will also run an insurance fund aimed at mitigating overall trading system losses.
Autonomous Spores leverage the collective intelligence of AI agents through the collaboration of these four AI agents. Currently, Autonomous Spores plans to share part of the management fees generated by Saya and the transaction taxes generated by Oozeborn with the community. However, Grassian and Jaguarundi have not yet been launched.
CREATE
Market capitalization: $8.8 million
Holding address: 4528
Token contract: 92crE7qiX5T7VtiXhCeagfo1E81UtyguiXM7qCi7pump
create claims to be the ultimate creation engine, but in reality, it is an AI platform built on Swarms that generates images or audio based on text prompts.
IFSCI
Market capitalization: $3.5 million
Holding address: 1177
Token contract: RqGHXg2eh3zPjyzNM7kUyrrSmhb9M9q4mCKFH1mpump
IFSCI claims to be the first vertical AI x DeSci Agent project built on Swarms, aiming to help users personalize their fasting and dietary plans. Users can participate in AI as food data contributors, health metric providers, or researchers. As data providers, users only need to post their meal photos along with corresponding descriptions on the X platform and tag @adesciagent, and they will also receive rewards based on their contributions.
According to the official roadmap, IFSCI is set to launch a fully functional application in Q3 2025 and expand scientific research globally.
Progress of Swarms ecosystem construction
The now flourishing AI Agent framework project is reminiscent of the early prosperous period of Ethereum L2. Although the technologies and models vary, the most intuitive way for users to judge quality is by looking at ecosystem prosperity. As a multi-agent collaboration framework, Swarms needs a thriving agent ecosystem to 'validate' its own value. Compared to ecosystems like ai16z and Virtuals, Swarms may have started late, but it is currently working hard on ecosystem construction.
Today, the Swarms official Twitter account posted on the X platform recruiting ecological project collaborations and offering support such as technology, marketing, and agency infrastructure, while allocating 10 million Swarms tokens (worth $3.38 million) as an ecological fund. Swarms founder Kye Gomez also stated that he will 'personally meet and support all our partner projects, providing technical assistance, marketing guidance, and so on.'
Kye Gomez also announced today that the Swarms Marketplace will soon introduce new features, including:
Auto-generate and upload: Seamlessly create agents, tools, and groups, and then upload them directly to the marketplace;
Paywall integration: Monetize by listing agents at a certain price, allowing others to purchase the developer's creations;
Swarms token integration: Use Phantom to buy and sell agents with Swarms tokens, simplifying transactions;
Swarms Auto-Cloud: Launch Swarm API in the cloud with just one prompt;
Agent quality rewards: High-quality agents published can earn Swarms tokens, evaluated using an advanced framework;
Real-time chat and API: Provide real-time interaction and API capabilities for each agent, group, tool, and prompt;
Usage tracking: Use detailed tracking tools to monitor the real-time usage of agents.
Although there are ongoing disputes regarding the originality of Swarms, unwavering construction is the best response to the controversy. ai16z was also accused of being a token issuance conspiracy group in its early days, but its current market capitalization has proven its value is recognized by the market. 'Either continue to take off or decline from now on,' whether Swarms can 'arm wrestle' with ai16z in ecological construction remains to be seen.
