On January 5, SimplyBitcoin reported that two Chilean congressmen, Gael Yeomans and Juan Santana, are considering a new legislative proposal aimed at creating a strategic Bitcoin (BTC) reserve for the country. If the proposal passes, Chile would become the second country after El Salvador to use Bitcoin as a national strategic reserve.
