The child in his arms later became the internationally renowned poet, Jidi Maga.
Maga's mother is from Malia Township, Hanyuan County, Ya'an, Sichuan, a beautiful mountainous village. Maga's grandfather, known as Old Wu Jizi Yang, is said to have raised 5 or 7 daughters, with one son who died young. All the daughters received private education in Hanyuan at that time, becoming literate and fluent in both Yi and Han, later becoming the vanguard working team for the liberation of the 'slavery society' in Liangshan, Sichuan.
Maga enrolled in Southwest Minzu University and devoted himself to writing poetry.
Later, due to the international influence of his poetry, Maga was coincidentally valued by Beijing and served as the Vice Governor of Qinghai, a member of the Provincial Standing Committee, and the Minister of the Propaganda Department, promoting the Qinghai International Poetry Festival, and later fostering the Chengdu Caotang Poetry Festival.
Maga's famous saying: Poetry is the salt of language.
Poetry is not above the throat, but in the heart. Poetry exists between reason and irrationality; AI cannot truly break through the human spiritual fortress of poetry.
Poetry is spirit and emotion; it transcends language, ethnicity, nationality, and can communicate with the whole world.
Maga also said that he embarked on the path of poetry because both his father and mother are Yi. The Yi are an ancient poetic nation, and their daily language is poetic, free of vulgarity, coarseness, or colloquialisms; everything spoken is poetry, subtly influencing others.
Online Review: In literature and art, Maga is reminiscent of Lu Yao, but while Lu Yao is tragic, he is also immortal.
He looks like an official, plump, but he is actually a true poet. 😄
