Wu said that Shiba Inu announced that it will launch its ecosystem token TREAT in January 2025. The TREAT token is the utility and governance token of its new privacy Layer3 blockchain, which is built on the Ethereum Layer2 blockchain Shibarium. Shiba Inu raised $12 million in April 2024 by selling the yet-to-be-issued TREAT tokens.
