Today is Bitcoin's birthday～

On January 3rd, it has been 16 years since Satoshi Nakamoto mined the genesis block Block #0 on a small server in Helsinki, Finland on January 3, 2009.

Satoshi Nakamoto recorded the front-page headline of The Times in the CoinBase data of the genesis block: "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks." There was only one transaction in the block, and the block reward was 50 bitcoins.

As of the time of writing, the price of Bitcoin is $97,018.18, with a market cap exceeding $1.92 trillion.
