The US Department of Justice has announced a new charge against Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon: conspiracy to commit money laundering. The indictment, filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleges that Kwon conspired with others to commit money laundering. It states that Kwon processed more than $10,000 in transactions while knowing that the proceeds of the illegal activities were being generated. Kwon is accused of being involved in the collapse of the Terra ecosystem in 2022. Following extradition requests from the US and South Korea, Kwon was finally extradited to the US.
