Cryptocurrency airdrops in January will distribute 625 million dollars in JUP and 7% of the SONIC supply
Eligible users of Jupiter and Sonic, both in the Solana ecosystem, will receive airdrops in the coming weeks.
Users of the Solana ecosystem will benefit from at least two significant airdrops in January, which will distribute hundreds of millions in tokens to eligible users.
The first airdrop scheduled for New Year's Day will come from Solana's layer 2 gaming network, Sonic, which will distribute 7% of the supply of its native token SONIC to users on January 7.
According to a post on January 1 on X, Sonic indicated that only 15% of the total supply of 2.4 billion SONIC tokens will be available for trading on the day of the airdrop.
Approximately 8% of the tokens will be pre-assigned to "early sponsors," while 7% will be distributed via airdrop to initial claimants. It is worth noting that the only way to qualify for the SONIC airdrop was to register through the social media platform TikTok.
Like the mini-games on Telegram, Sonic built its SonicX game natively within TikTok and decided to directly reward those users.
