Project Introduction:

Sahara AI is a decentralized AI network that allows everyone to leverage their intellectual capital to discover monetization and automation opportunities through AI.

The main focus of the project is on the following aspects:

1. Self-positioning: A decentralized blockchain platform for an open, fair, and collaborative AI economy.

2. Core concept: "AI assets" refer to the ownership and management agreements of private AI resources (such as personal data and proprietary models).

3. Target groups: AI developers, data providers and other stakeholders, including C-end users and B-end users, as well as AI asset trading groups.

4. Service content: from data collection and labeling to model training and services, AI agent creation and deployment, multi-agent communication, AI asset trading, and AI resource crowdsourcing.

Project financing:

Sahara AI announced in August 2024 that it had completed a US$43 million financing round, led by Binance Labs, Pantera Capital and Polychain Capital, with participation from Samsung, Matrix Partners, Siam Commercial Bank of Thailand, Foresight Ventures, dao5, Alumni Ventures, Geekcartel, Nomad Capital, Mirana Ventures and others.

Project Team Background:

Sahara AI’s team members include Sean Ren (@xiangrenNLP), professor of AI at the University of Southern California and chairman of the Viterbi Center, who previously worked at Ai 2, Snapchat, Stanford University, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Tyler Zhou (@tz_sahara), former investment director of Binance Labs, and several key members with backgrounds from prestigious universities who are responsible for product, operations, ecosystem construction, and community work.

Recent project developments:

On December 18, 2024, Sahara AI announced the launch of the first phase of the data platform Beta version test network, attracting more than 780,000 users to sign up, of which more than 10,000 candidates were the first to obtain participation qualifications.

Through the test network, ordinary users can not only contribute to the AI ecosystem through data collection, optimization and labeling tasks, but also receive generous rewards and participate in building the world's first decentralized AI collaboration platform.

Future plans of the project:

Sahara AI’s 2024-2025 project roadmap has been released:

1. Launch the first phase of the test network through the data service platform in Q4 2024.

2. Launch the AI marketplace in Q1 2025, introduce limited access to developer tools, and expand the data service platform.

3. In Q2 2025, we will launch Sahara Studio, a comprehensive tool to simplify AI development, including a model training toolkit, a model deployment toolkit, and a model orchestration toolkit.

4. The Sahara Chain mainnet will be launched in Q3 2025, providing the on-chain infrastructure required to support large-scale decentralized AI.
