Elitsa Taskova, chief product officer at crypto lending platform Nexo, is more optimistic about Bitcoin's prospects in 2025 than the general consensus. "We believe that Bitcoin will more than double in a year to $250,000," Elitsa Taskova noted. "These predictions are consistent with ongoing trends and social markers: increasing recognition of Bitcoin as a reserve asset and more widespread adoption of exchange-traded products (ETPs) related to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies." She believes that in the long term, such as the next decade, the market value of the entire cryptocurrency will exceed that of gold.
Elitsa Taskova added that supportive macroeconomic conditions, such as monetary easing by the world's major central banks, could boost Bitcoin. "The Fed's balancing act - managing interest rates and inflation while avoiding economic stagnation will be key," Taskova said. On the other hand, persistent inflation could also prompt the Fed to shift to a hawkish stance, she warned. "With the United States leading the way in cryptocurrency-related capital deployment, the Fed's interest rate decisions and U.S. inflation dynamics are likely to remain key factors influencing Bitcoin prices in 2025."
