What is being cultivated in trading?
Any trader who values trading mentality will say that trading is a form of cultivation! So what exactly are we cultivating while trading? I believe that what we cultivate in trading is self-discipline! It is the ability to control our emotions and our actions!
This form of cultivation may have some similarities with the practices in Buddhism and Taoism, but the core meaning is different! Buddhist cultivation emphasizes the concept of emptiness, while Taoist cultivation aims for the unity of heaven and humanity. Our purpose as traders in cultivation is solely to execute trades well!
There are three purposes of cultivation in trading:
The first is to strictly follow the rules and execute the trading system, allowing the system to earn money for us.
The second is to enable ourselves to have continuous learning and improvement capabilities, allowing the trading system to be constantly refined! Iterated! Evolved!
The third is to enhance our character, aligning virtue with wealth and safeguarding the wealth we have earned!
It is said that traders have talent! They have insight! I believe this mainly lies in the cultivation aspect! Ordinary people need to work hard to cultivate, while they inherently possess or partially possess it! Similar to the highest military commanders, they must be composed! Think critically! Act decisively!
Therefore, there is no need for mystique! Knowing the goal, we also know what to do!
