PANews reported on December 31 that according to Coingape, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently expressed his views on the governance structure of the Cardano Foundation (CF), emphasizing that the foundation's $600 million ADA treasury lacks direct community representation in its allocation. He stated that this lack of enthusiasm for supporting community projects (such as Catalyst) could hinder ecosystem growth and pose a threat to future sustainability.

In response to community member Rick McCracken's criticism of leadership transparency and governance direction, Hoskinson expressed disappointment and believes these remarks are detrimental to community development. He also pointed out that the Cardano Foundation has no direct affiliation with IOHK (Input Output Global) and Emurgo, and called for enhanced community oversight of the foundation.

Hoskinson also introduced the latest progress in Cardano governance work, including the CIP-1694 proposal and the Cardano charter draft. CIP-1694 aims to end the technical launch phase, build a decentralized decision-making framework, and enable the community to play a greater role in governance.
