Techub News reports that Parity Technologies, the parent company of Polkadot, has released the Polkadot 2025 roadmap, which includes support for EVM compatibility and smart contract functionality running on Solidity, the launch of the PVM lightweight virtual machine, the introduction of the Omni Node unified node solution, an upgrade to the cross-chain message communication protocol XCM v5 to enhance interoperability, the launch of the JAM SDK developer tools, and the introduction of a unified address format. Additionally, Polkadot will shorten the DOT unlocking staking time and will use DOT as a universal fee token to support fee payments in Rollups.
