Deep Tide TechFlow News, on December 31, according to Cointelegraph, in a document submitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge Alvin Hellerstein postponed the trial date for the civil case of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) vs. Gemini from January 13 to January 21, and added that "there will be no further delays."
This case stems from the CFTC's allegations against Gemini in 2022, accusing it of providing false or misleading statements to the CFTC when applying to offer Bitcoin futures contracts in 2017. The postponed trial date will coincide with the new president's inauguration, which may influence the CFTC's stance towards Gemini and other crypto companies.
